A Thousand Stories: The Pantone Postcard Project
I am creating a series of 1000 original postcard-sized collages, each crafted on Pantone postcards. This ambitious body of work transforms the humble postcard into a vessel for storytelling. Each piece is a fragment of narrative, playful or poignant, while the collective whole becomes a vast chorus of visual voices.
Concept
Postcards have always carried stories across distances—small messages of connection, longing, or joy. By producing 1000 collages, I amplify this intimate format into a large-scale installation, weaving together humor, hidden symbolism, and recycled imagery. My process reimagines women, cultural tropes, and the overlooked fragments of magazines and travels, creating new stories from what was once discarded.
Exhibition Vision
The completed series will be exhibited as an immersive installation. Postcards may be displayed salon-style in grids, waves, or suspended groupings to emphasize both their individuality and their collective power. Up close, each work reads like a miniature narrative; from a distance, the viewer sees a monumental mosaic of a thousand stories.
